I am a PhD Candidate in Linguistics at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa. My research focuses on language documentation, intonation and phonetics, primarily in the Nasal speech community in Bengkulu, Indonesia. I am interested in the role of prosody in language documentation and maintenance, as well as the integration of experimental, computational and quantitative methods in both linguistic description and analysis.
I am also interested in language conservation, revitalization and reclamation, as well as language typology.
Outside of linguistics, I am interested in environmental conservation, animal communication, music, and games and game design.
